How to navigate your Dashboard account settings

Sections of these articles also provide links to other, more detailed discussions of the dashboard features.

Please see two related articles – Dashboard Tour & How-To and Dashboard Configuration & Setup – which provide overviews of other sections of the dashboard.

Account Settings

The Account Settings links are as follows:

Add 2-factor Authentication

Add extra security to your ProxyMesh account with 2-factor authentication.

Use the 2-factor Authentication link to access the Configure 2-factor Authentication screen.

  • Click either the Google Authentication or the Authy link.
  • Then click the Enable link. A code/token will be sent to your app or mobile device.
If you enable either of these methods, a different token will be sent to your app or mobile device. Then you will be required to enter a one-time password/token each next time you log in.

This will protect you in case your account username and password are somehow stolen or compromised.
  • Return to the dashboard via the Back button or click the Dashboard link on the ribbon.
If you want to discontinue using 2FA, you will need to contact Support to disable it.

You can reset the password, which is tied to that email, at https://proxymesh.com/auth/password_reset/.

If you do not have email access, you can contact Support for assistance with the password update.

If You Receive a Password Change Notice

If you receive a password change notice like the one shown below and you did not change your password, please contact Support immediately.

Further Information

Review our article ProxyMesh Security for updates on account security topics, such as 2-factor authentication.

Set up or change your username

Log in to ProxyMesh with either your username or an email address belonging to you.

Your username must be unique.

Making your email address the username is acceptable, but we do not advise it, as the @ "at" sign can interfere with username:passwordauthentication protocols. It’s better to choose a unique username without the “@“ symbol.

Changing a username requires special procedures by the Support staff.  Please contact ProxyMesh Support if you wish to change your username.

Please provide the exact username you want to change to.

Username change requests must come from the email address associated with the ProxyMesh account.

Change your proxies

Select one or more proxies to use from your Dashboard, based on the number of proxies available in your plan.

Use the Change Proxies link to access the Change Proxy Authorization screen.

  • Check the box of the proxy you wish to change to.
  • Click the Authorize Proxy Servers button.
If you have reached the limit on your plan, you will have to deselect one of the proxies previously selected.

You can also upgrade your plan on this screen by clicking the Upgrade Your Plan link.

  • Return to the dashboard via the Back button or click the Dashboard link on the ribbon.

Set your bandwidth limit

You can set your monthly and total bandwidth limits from your dashboard.

Use the Set Bandwidth Limits link to access the Bandwidth Limit screen.

Monthly Bandwidth Limit

Limits monthly bandwidth usage, which resets for each billing cycle.

Total Bandwidth Limit
